Marriage links for the week

As part of the 40-day prayer countdown to the U.S. presidential election on Nov. 2, Marla Swoffer offers up a prayer for the president's marriage.

I had never read The Requiest before this week, but he has a couple of interesting posts. One tackles the difficult topic of how to handle things when one's daughter begins dating, and another looks at the issue of Christian divorce. And this gem:

I know I'm not going to understand women. I'll never understand how you can take boiling hot wax, pour it onto your upper thigh, rip the hair out by the root, and still be afraid of a spider.

I wrote earlier this week about falling in love. Ben of Marriages Restored picked up the topic and offered some opinions on how that can be dangerous when you're not careful.

Ben also points to a post by Kris at Writing to Understand. She writes about how difficult marriage can get when the relationship is neglected. If you read only one of the links here, read this one. You might also check out Kris's post on love languages.

Messy Christian outlines the wedding practices of different cultures in her part of the world.
