Election

I do realize that there is a world beyond the borders of the United States. I know that several people who read this blog live in it and, in fact, I have visited it on occasion. But right now it's hard to think of anything except the fact that this day is something of a crossroads in my country's existence. Mrs. Happy and I both did our part today, voting for the candidate we believe has integrity and a real passion for making the United States an even better place than it already is. Sadly, it seems we were part of a minority in the state of New York, whose citizens increasingly disgust me.

I don't mean to get political here. This isn't a political blog, and the importance I'm placing on this election is probably inflated. The country (and, I'm sure, the world outside its borders) will survive no matter who wins the election. But for now, I can think of nothing else.

Normal blogging should resume tomorrow.
