His and Hers: I or E personality?
His and Hers is a weekly discussion of a question or topic relating to marriage. On Friday, my wife and I each write our thoughts on the week's topic. I invite others to do the same with their spouses as an exercise in celebrating marriage.
1) Are you an introvert or an extrovert?
2) What effect does that have on your marriage?
Mrs. Happy's response
1) I'm pretty shy, but being around people really energizes me. I think that technically makes me an extrovert.
Curt's response
1) I'm pretty shy as about talking to people, though I relish the spotlight in times when I can entertain a crowd. Talking to people, however, drains me of energy. The more people in a group, the more they exhaust me. I'm a total introvert.
Both of us
2) When we return home after being at a group gathering, she's all jazzed up and excited while he can barely hold up his head. Thirty minutes later, he rebounds and she crashes. Shortly thereafter, she rebounds and he crashes. It goes on like that until equilibrium is restored.
